When Creativity WORKS! June 15, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — inspirador @ 9:29 PM

When creativity works…there is something very powerful that takes place.  Regardless of what you personally consider to be creative we hope that you will explore your own creative contributions in the world.  It is truly inspiring when people are willing to be POSITIVE and THOUGHTFUL about their intentions and how they express them.

We are so thrilled that 100% of the proceeds from the entire evening of the Art & Soul Event  benefitted FREE ARTS OF ARIZONA www.freeartsaz.org .  Free Arts of Arizona is a nonprofit organization that sparks the creative spirit of abused, homeless and at-risk children.  They are an incredible organization that shows us just one way that creativity can impact lives.  We were honored to be able to donate space to help support such a wonderful cause and introduce a few new ideas to some great guests.  While creativity is relative and some are more experienced at it than others it is the idea of allowing yourself to explore new ideas that matters.  Don’t let the “nay-sayers” of the world discourage your vision…everyone is creative in their own right and in their own way.   For more pictures of this event visit the wonderful photography of Kelvin: http://www.kelvinphotographer.com/

The evening was simply filled with one creative element right after the next.  An artist reception, a movie premiere, a Giving Garden, a charitable cause, autographs, pictures, and a chance for each guest to MAKE THEIR MARK on the wall…INSPIRING!

UNLEASHING CREATIVITY! June 4, 2009

“Unleashing Creativity” is a short documentary film directed by Phyllis Lane & Alejandra Nash (the wife of Phoenix Suns Steve Nash).  These visionary women have unraveled a simple concept into a thought-provoking, mind awakening short film that is certain to catch everyones attention.  If only for a moment, if only for a single transformation in one persons mind–this film will expose everyday people to a very intriguing concept.  Be among the first to witness what they captured on film as they traveled around the country meeting, interviewing, and exploring the potential of creativity and how it can transform and heal lives.  We invite you to participate in an evening of inspiration and creativity and explore for yourself what happens when you allow yourself to truly experience creativity.  No craft projects at this event <g>…this is all about thinking outside of our box and our comfort zones.  Be brave, Be ready, Be creative! The movie premiere takes place this Friday night at Inspirador (read an article about the event: http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/139975 )

steve nash

Well, NBA star Steve Nash recently got to experience it off the court.  He painted for the first time in his life on camera while being guided in “point zero” painting—a method in which one does not plan the painting but lets the brush go where it wants to go on the canvas.

That’s not only creative…there is something very brave about doing something outside of our normal routine and experiencing new ideas.

btw…why was Steve Nash twittering about his 4 hour lunch with Carlos Santana recently? (Yes, that’s Carlos Santana music on the Inspirador website…LOVE IT!). The truth will be unveiled at Inspirador next Friday evening.

Next creative question: Why is creativity important?

SERIOUSLY! May 27, 2009

_MG_1558 It’s been a long busy while since we’ve last blogged!  Over the next several days and weeks we’ll be sharing some fun, interesting, CREATIVE and INSPIRING topics and happenings that are certainly worth getting to know us better.    CREATIVITY is our MANTRA for our next series of blogs and we’re not talking about creative ways to set a table, or creative ways to line up place card settings….NOPE! We’ll be pushing the boundries a bit with creativity and if our efforts happen to accidentally provide an incredible new way of setting a table…well then so be it!  For now…the question: WHAT IS CREATIVITY?

From DesignNY: Design Firm Conquers Coke Problem, Gets Award

500_coke_design.jpg

Thanks in part to anthropomorphic polar bears and overcaffeinated graphic designs, “Coke’s identity had become cluttered, uninspiring and easy to ignore.” But with the help of “identity and package design firm” Turner Duckworth, the world’s most recognizable sugar water brand received a fresh and clean new look that won a first ever Design Grand Prix award at Cannes Lions. The firm’s “iconization of heritage” concept included a streamlined aluminum bottle that were based on Coca-Cola’s signature glass bottles, a redesign of the cans, new signs/POS, and even graphics for delivery trucks. See some of the mods after the jump or download the full case study here: (PDF doc).

Filed under: Uncategorized — inspirador @ 5:02 AM

Join us tomorrow evening WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2009 for the opening reception of “Shaded”, all new original artworks by John Koleszar.  This contemporary portraiture, created with Koleszar’s own inventive process, explores expression and individuality with humor and endearment.  Koleszar is a self taught artist, who has exhibited his work from San Francisco to Berlin.  His process of painting involves hand cut stencils, digital photography and spray paint.  “He’s edgy! He’s Cool! He’s got it goin’ on!”

Complimentary gourmet appetizers and wine will be served for all art loving guests. The opening will be held from 5-9pm where you can mingle with the artist and other cool art lovers alike.  Also, enjoy the creative works of live painters Brez and Closer on our front sidewalk during the Historic Downtown Chandler Art Walk.  The “Shaded” exhibition will hang through the end of February, with gallery hours Tuesday-Saturday, 10-5pm.  We hope to see you here!

Aqua Nights: The Honeymoon Plan January 21, 2009

Planning your honeymoon is one of the most exciting and fun parts of getting married.  Just the notion that after months of stressful planning you can relax somewhere exotic, far away, or simple and tranquil.  Much like the wedding planning process the honeymoon planning can get a little overwhelming too.  To the stressed bride there is the ultimate wedding planner and for the stressed couple their is the ULTIMATE ALL-INCLUSIVE TRAVEL ( http://www.ultimateall-inclusivetravel.com/ ) providers that take the guess work out of the game.  They’ve been to the resorts they promote, they know the best prices, and what we’ve enjoyed most is that they can tell us if the resort truly looks like it does in the website pictures in person.

Our preferred guest travel agents will be available during the Aqua Nights After-Party should you be curious about the best honeymoon deals available.  One of our favorites to check out is the AZUL SANTORI RESORT http://karismahotels.com/azulsensatori/honeymoon-and-romance.html Where ever you decide to celebrate your new life as husband and wife may Aqua Nights ignite something new in your choices.

Aqua Nights January 19, 2009

“Aqua Nights” is the theme for this season’s DoCha Vida Bridal Walk AFTER-PARTY and raffle prize give-aways.  The Aqua Nights portion of the evening is a visit through an “aqua dreamscape” and a monochromatic tour of Inspirador.  The theme is not only based on the color aqua and shades of “something blue” but the entire evening is designed around inspirations for HONEYMOONS and DESTINATIONS.   Notions of far away and distant lands will be subtly intertwined throughout your visit.   For the next 4 days of blog entries we will reveal exciting and fun reasons to make sure you don’t miss the DoCha Vida Bridal Walk www.dochavida.com & Aqua Nights After-Party @ Inspirador.
